Green Shamrock JL Shirts

When I fought last weekend at UFC 118, all of my friends and family were wearing some green shamrock shirts that I had printed up. If I had known how popular they were going to be, I would have printed up a ton more and sold them at the UFC Fan Expo. There has been an overwhelming demand for them so I decided to sell them on here. I have a ton of large in stock but only a few of the other sizes right now. I will have plenty …

Welcome to Boston

Typically when I fight somewhere, there are around 100 people or so that end up flying out to wherever I am fighting. They spend money on tickets to the event, airfare, hotels, food, etc. I have brought armies to Colorado, Omaha, Florida, California and Las Vegas but none have been anything like fighting at home. It had been over 4 years since I fought at home and the welcoming back was amazing.
I have always had a great support network at my fights, but this one was unbelievable. I can’t …

“I don’t need a lot of time. A lot of my fights have ended quickly and it’s only a small window of time and opportunity you need to win a fight with a submission or knockout, and I’m in there for 15 minutes and I’m there to fight until the very last bell.”
The sport of mixed martial arts is filled with stories of Spartan dedication to training and the sacrifices necessary to compete at the highest level of the sport. Everything from diet to being away from family for weeks …

My Gamertag, uStream and an ESPN Interview

I have always been pretty good with multi tasking and doing a whole bunch of things at once… and I had a pretty interesting idea.
I have been doing a whole bunch of interviews lately for websites, radio station, newspapers and whatnot. Being the dedicated Modern Warfare 2 fan that I am, I have been playing while doing most of them. I think I went like 24-9 when I did the National Lampoon interview from the other day.
I think I am going to take it one step further though. …

Fight Dentist at the Boston Fan Expo

Fight Dentist is the official dentist and mouth guard for the UFC and WEC. They will have a booth set up at the Expo and will be taking impressions for those that wish to order a mouth guard. While a kit sent in the mail gives a great impression for a mouth guard, they can take an even better one in person. I have a few guards from them and I literally need to pry it out of my mouth because it fits so well. I am sending all of …

The Expendables: Movie Review and Quick Story

Ever had someone look at you like you were so full of crap they didn’t even want to call you on it? That happened to me today.
I went to see The Expendables and before heading in, I was waiting for some of my friends to show up. As a couple arrived, we started talking about how Noguiera was out against Mir but Cro Cop was stepping in as a replacement. We then started talking aboutUFC 118 and how my training was going. We moved onto talking about Kenny and Gray …

Video Blogs: How do you want them?

I did a whole bunch of video blogs before my fight in Tampa against Jeremy Stephens. I had a flip cam and took video of everthing, and then tossed it all together and uploaded them each day. Well… I intended to upload them each day but the internet at the hotel was terrible and I had some issues. I will be home for this fight though, so I am going to do it again for this fight.
So here is my question… how do you want to see them?Do you want …

Different Opponent, Same Outcome.

As a fighter that has spent over 3 months training for a fight, I received the worst email possible yesterday. “Terry Etim is out with an injury. Looking for a replacement”. Wonderful.I spent 3 months training for a 6’1″ kickboxer with slick BJJ. I knew the replacement would never be even close to that. We had done a LOT of very specific training for Terry, which was all for nothing. I hope Terry has a speedy recovery and maybe we can do it down the line.
