Christmas Day at the Lauzon house centered on fighting rather than the traditional holiday cheer.

Brothers Joe and Danny are both slated to fight in separate lightweight bouts at UFC 108 on Jan. 2 in Las Vegas, which will be the first time siblings have appeared in the Octagon on the same night in its 16-year history. (Matt and Mark Hughes, as well as brothers Dan and Jim Miller, have all appeared in separate events.) The experience of training side by side has redefined the term “brotherly love” in more ways than one.

Someone on twitter asked me what the first song on my workout playlist was. I thought it was a pretty good question so I decided to put up the current playlist I train to on here. Yesterday we had planned to go to a BBQ but ended up not going. So like 10 of us went to Fire and Ice in Providence last night and then met another 10 people at Dave and Busters. Both places are at the providence place mall, so it worked out well and by the end of the night there were almost 20 of us hanging out and having a good time. (continue reading…)

I watch movies and TV shows all the time. I am definitely a movie junkie and Chris has turned me onto a lot of TV shows. I can watch terrible movies and be entertained pretty easily… Army of Darkness anyone? A lot of times when I am training I don’t have that much time to watch because I don’t have such big blocks of free time. Seeing as how much free time I’ve had lately, I have been catching up.

Well, it’s been 2 weeks since I had ACL Surgery and had my meniscus repaired. I’ve done two rehab sessions this week and have my third one later today. I’m at the point now where I can walk with my brace locked out and unable to bend, but its still pretty shaky. I have been trying to walk a little more each day but have mainly been hopping around and using crutches still. I am really trying not to over do it.

 Congrats to Dan "The Upgrade" Lauzon on his win on Friday night. Dan is under contract with affliction and is set to fight Chris Horodecki in January but took a local fight to stay sharp. Here is the video of the fight.

Proud of you man.   

I am leaving in about an hour to make the drive to Montreal. Going with Chris and Brian to cut some weight with Noah. Going to hang in Montreal for a few days, corner for Noah and just take it easy. Should be a good little road trip for a few days.

My next fight will be against Kyle Bradley at Ultimate Fight Night 14. The fight is September 17th in Omaha, Nebraska. Its going to a SpikeTV card and should be a great show. �

Kyle has fought once before in the UFC when he fought a very tough Chris Lytle backin February. Lytle beat Kyle in the first round, but Kyle stepped up and took the fight on short notice and in a higher weight class. Kyle is 13-5 and has been fighting for a long time, so I am looking forward to this fight a lot. �
