Clearing up the Facebook Personal/Fan Page Issue

by Joe Lauzon on Jan.21, 2010, under Blog

To begin with, you should add my Facebook FAN page.

I get a lot of messages on Facebook and through email about why I don’t add people to my personal Facebook page. Typically when I get a friend request from someone that isn’t an actual friend, I send them a copy-and-pasted message asking them to join my fan page. Most people appreciate the fact I take the time to message them. Some give me the “uh, no thanks” or just don’t do it. It’s not me being uppity, its a numbers limitation.

UFC.com: Brothers in Armbars

by Joe Lauzon on Dec.30, 2009, under Press

Joe and Dan Lauzon: Hailing from Bridgewater, Mass, the Lauzon brothers will both be fighting on the UFC 108 card. Joe, 25, has been a fan favorite in the UFC due to his lightning-quick knockout of Jens Pulver in 2006 and earning a semi-final berth on The Ultimate Fighter5. Joe will try to continue his trek towards a lightweight title shot by taking on the heavy-handed Sam Stout. Meanwhile, Dan, 21, is riding high on an eight-fight win streak and will be beginning his second UFC stint against Cole Mille. Dan – who was the youngest UFC fighter ever when he took on Spencer Fisher in 2006 at the age of 18 – has big plans for himself in the UFC to move out of older brother Joe’s shadow, hence his nickname and his collar line tattoo, which reads “The Upgrade”.

Go see the movie: “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”

by Joe Lauzon on Sep.26, 2009, under Blog

I don’t read a whole lot but from time to time I will pick up something of interest. Most of the time, its something fight related or written by a fighter. I read the Ken Shamrock book, the Pulver book and most recently the Forrest Griffin book. I will go and read something unrelated every now and then. I think my favorite book ever was “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”.

Any South Park Fans Out There?

by Joe Lauzon on Aug.13, 2009, under Randomness

I bumped into a picture of Tim Sylvia, and just had to make a motivational poster out of it. We have a bit of history, so this is well deserved. (continue reading…)

UFC Fan Expo Video

by Joe Lauzon on Jul.25, 2009, under Blog, Videos

Here is some video I shot at the UFC Fan Expo. The SpikeTV booth was ridiculous and was two stories tall, so we waited around upstairs to do the signing. Place was nuts!

Great Article: Answers a lot of Questions about my knee and my future

by Joe Lauzon on Jul.09, 2009, under Blog, Press

Taken from: http://www.wickedlocal.com/raynham/sports/x1885887291/Bridgewater-MMA-fighter-Joe-Lauzon-eyes-return-to-ring-in-09

UFC lightweight title contender and Bridgewater native Joe Lauzon does not rattle easily.

Just 11 days after an electrifying second-round armbar submission victory over Jeremy Stephens to headline SpikeTv’s Fight Night 17 on Feb. 7, Lauzon’s (18-4, 5 KOs, 13 subs) possible title hopes were put on hold when he suffered a torn ACL that forced him to undergo surgery. (continue reading…)

Sitting at the airport, going to UFC100

by Joe Lauzon on Jul.09, 2009, under Blog

I always get to the airport way early so I don’t miss my flight…. so here I am. My plane is supposed to leave in about an hour, so it shouldn’t be too bad. I am going to Vegas for UFC100 and the UFC Fan Expo. It should be a great time weekend all the way around. I talked with Matt Arroyo earlier this week so I will hopefully meet up with him and get to do some light training. Going to meet up with “Grandpa” Tony Blauer at some point, most likely for some double doubles because we are both fat kids at heart. I talked to Noah Thomas last night too and he is apparently out there for a few days too. (continue reading…)
