Writers love to run with the story about how I grew up on a farm… and while it’s somewhat true, it’s not like most people think. We had a lot of animals growing up: dog, cats and fish like most people… but we also had cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, a goat (which was badass), and horses.

With the horses, we did a lot of western style riding: barrel racing, gymkhana, team penning, etc. While I have only been on a horse maybe half a dozen times in the last five years, my dad still keeps up with it. His newest thing, is riding around on his horse while all dressed up in old western clothing, while firing guns. Legit six-shooter revolvers… on horseback. Yes I am serious, I couldn’t make this up.

So this weekend, his club… yes he has a club… is doing a day of demonstrations so people can check it out and see what they are doing. They are trying to make a little day out of it… so they asked if Dan and I would go and take pictures and sign autographs and whatnot. So Dan and I will both be there… and I am trying to talk Josh Grispi into it as well… so he might be there too. In addition to us being there… there is also a petting zoo, ice cream and my dad (and others) riding around like a lunatic firing two revolvers filled with powder shot (no bullets) at balloons. We will be at the Goss Farm on Saturday from 12 to 3. Hope to see you there.
