This is 6 days after I had ACL surgery. My knee was a little swollen so the doctor thought it would be best to drain off some of the fluid (blood) to make me more comfortable. It felt better afterwards, but it was excruciating while it was being drained.

The doctor said my knee looked good though. He said the graft was strong and showed me X-Rays and pictures from the surgery. I have a screw in the upper and lower part of my knee. The cadaver ACL is from someones patella, so there is bone on each end and should allow for a strong knee down the line. I think it takes something like 10 to 12 months for my knee to get good blood through through my new ACL and for the graft to 100% heal.

I start rehab tomorrow.
